AKBÜK

Akbük, a part of Didim, is a small and beautiful place on a bay on the Aegean coast near Didim. Unlike mass tourism in Bodrum, it is still relatively quiet in Akbük. Akbük means white bay so everywhere beautiful beaches and blue sea! Akbük was originally a fishing village so you can find nice authentic restaurants everywhere. The weather is great, jealous of the people who live there! In the summer above 30 ° and in the "winter" not colder than 5 °.

BAFA LAKE

If you are looking for peace and nature, then a visit to the Bafa lake, with various walking routes, is the perfect excursion.
Bafa Lake is a large freshwater lake located at the foot of the Latmos Mountains. 2000 years ago Bafa did not exist anymore, but formed a bay in the sea.

Due to the silting up of the Menderes river, a lake has finally emerged, separated from the sea.

It is a paradise for bird lovers; more than 220 different bird species can be found in the area.

Bafa lake has several small islands and on four of these islands there can be found remains of monasteries and on a fifth island theres is a Byzantine castle.

D MARIN YACHT CLUB

D-Marin Didim is one of the most extensive yacht clubs with a capacity of 1000 yachts.

It is the home port for yachts and super yachts and has a fascinating catamaran center in the eastern Mediterranean sea.

TEMPEL OF APOLLO

That a holiday in Didim will also appeal to the cultural enthusiasts is certain. The temple of Apollo is considered one of the most impressive sites of Turkey and is one of the most important oracles of Apollo from Antiquity after Delphi.

Today only a few columns stand upright, but the renowned Temple of Apollo was once the third largest sanctuary of the ancient world.

In the evening the Apollo temple is beautifully illuminated and there are a lot of cozy restaurants and bars around.

RUINES OF MILETE

Miletus, a dilapidated iconic city of more than 2000 years old, is one of the most important places in ancient Greece.
You will find a few beautiful ruins; a huge amphitheater big enough for 15,000 spectators, temples, sculptures, a Byzantine fortress and Roman baths.
For a fantastic view of the city you can take the stairs of this 30 meter high arena. Here we also find the Ilyas Bey Mosque dating back to the early fifteenth century. The buildings of the complex has different functions, such as mosque, madrassa and baths.
